Pluggin' Away

Well, I have been very busy between work and all of us getting sick (the girls x2). However, I have still been scrapping a good deal. I just finished my Project Scrap layouts for February. It is difficult to wait an entire year to compile the book, but I am loving the fact that it is making me be more diligent about uploading my pics! I also find that when I highlight something in these monthly recaps, it spurs me to scrap a page dedicated to the specific memories to get the details memorialized. If you haven't tried any type of yearly album or monthly/weekly/daily review, you definitely should! It isn't too late to start for this year! :)

That being said, I wanna kick off the layouts with my Project Scrap February 2 pager.
Template and pp/elements from Shabby Princess except title alpha from Friends and Family by Bella Gypsy Designs.

The next layouts are a first for me: a 3 pager! We had two wonderful days of playing in the snow a few weeks ago and I ended up with a lot of great photos. I didn't want the photo size to be tiny so I did a double-page layout and then added a third with the same kit and basic layout.

Father Christmas kit by Dream Big Designs. Template (rotated) by Scrappin with Liz. Snowflake cluster from Flakes alpha by K Studio.

This one is some old photos of Katie that I have always loved, but never felt inspired to scrap. I love how this turned out!
Free template from Shabby Princess. All pp and elements from Wishful Thinking by Kay Miller except blue alpha from Suzy Q Scraps and green alpha from Bella Gypsy.

Here's one about Anna and her sweet nature. She colored a card for a classmate who was badly injured in a car wreck and wrote on the inside, "I wish I had fairies to make you better." These type of everyday examples of my kids wonderful personalities is why I scrap! I never want to forget that she did sweet things like this!

Well, I guess that'll do for now. Maybe next month I will make a template for you guys! Thanks for sharing my hobby and my memories with me! By the way, if you want to see any of these layouts at a closer view, you can check my gallery at Two Peas.

Long Lost Blogger

Well, several times in the past two months I have tried to post pics of my layouts and it wouldn't work. I thought it was something with my new computer, but I went through all the help prompts and it still wouldn't work! So, I gave up. Tonight, I decided to just try one more time before I called in my brother or my cousin-in-law (my own little free tech support!). It seems to be working now. Here are a few of the layouts I have finished in the past couple of weeks:
This layout is about the cute relationship between my cousin and my youngest dd! Free template from Scrappin with Liz.. Destination Unknown collab. 2 from Simply Paper alphas by Suzy Q Scraps.“Peas” alpha from Bella Gypsy. Font is (free!) Pea Haley Juliet. Heart cut-out alpha mat by Erica Zane.

Our favorite circus, The Big Apple Circus, finally came back to Atlanta this year! We got 3rd row seats and took some of our church friends with us! We all had a blast! Template is by Fiddle Dee Deeand the kit is Three Ring Circus by Ziggle Designs.

This is Katie when she was only 13 months old and "decorated" the bathroom with bits of toilet paper! Free template from Shabby Princess. All pp and elements from Wishful Thinking by Kay Miller except blue alpha from Suzy Q Scraps and green alpha from Bella Gypsy.

Again, old photos! Now that I am scrapping faster, I have started going WAY back and scrapping some of the photos I never got around to. These pics of Will and all the great faces he made while playing t-ball just made me smile. Template from Scrappin with Liz. All pp and elements from Kristin Aagard's  Parks and Recreation.

A quick one about Anna and her best friend, Savannah. All pp and elements from Captivated Visions When You Smile.

This last one is my first Project Scrap layout! Project Scrap is a monthly review that uses 8 or 9 photos each month with a lot of journaling space. The templates (and kit-Heartfelt) are from Shabby Princess (she has three sets). I think this is a great way to document all the everyday things of the year without committing yourself to a photo everyday or a layout every week! I plan on keeping all the layouts until the end of the year and making a 12x12 photobook. Just one month down and I'm already itching to see how it turns out!

If you want to view any of the layouts close up or see what else I have been up to, you can view my Two Peas gallery here.

I hope everyone has had a good year thus far! I can't believe it is March already! I made a New Year's resolution to scrap 213 layouts in 2013. Last years count was 165 so I am gonna have to keep them rolling out to make my quota! So far, we are 64 days into the year and I have 54 layouts! (Yes, I did the math. I have to have something to occupy my mind while driving and it is usually some kind of figuring! I guess that why my friends call me "Math Head.") If I keep up this pace, I may not be able to afford printing them! Oh well, the long days and beautiful summer weather always slow me down. Not to mention, Christmas busyness!!!

Okay, well I guess that's enough for now! I will definitely keep you updated monthly as I am committed to my Project Scrap (and seem to have debugged the photo linking!)!  :)

God bless.
